MIAMI, FL—A traffic accident in northeast Miami-Dade County on Friday, Feb. 3 sent three people, including a pedestrian, to the hospital with unspecified injuries. According to the Miami Herald, a Miami-Dade Transit bus crashed violently into a sport utility vehicle only moments after it [the SUV] was involved in a pedestrian collision.

Miami-Dade Police are investigating the chain-reaction crash, which involved not only the pedestrian and aforementioned vehicles (i.e. Miami Metrobus; SUV;), but a van as well.

Although details concerning the Miami crash remain scarce, reports suggested a SUV struck a pedestrian at the intersection of NE 148th street and West Dixie on the morning of Friday, Feb. 3.

The driver of that SUV put his/her vehicle in park, but was subsequently struck by a Miami Metrobus. The van’s role in the Miami crash remains unclear.

According to information provided, two unidentified drivers involved in the South Florida collision were flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center to be treated for unspecified injuries. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics rushed the injured pedestrian to Hollywood-based Memorial Hospital. Police have yet to release the crash victims’ identities and updated conditions.
